Great to meet you!

Having constant anxiety is deeply exhausting.

No matter how much you try to relax, your brain won’t turn off. You overanalyze conversations, worry about what others think, and feel drained from carrying the mental load of everything. If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place. You want to be kinder to yourself, but somehow, you always feel behind. Let’s work on that together.

I take a laid-back but direct approach to therapy. If you’re looking for someone who will just nod and ask, ‘How does that make you feel?’ I’m probably not the right therapist for you. But if you want someone who will listen and challenge you to make real changes, we might be a great fit.

We’ll use practical tools to help you manage stress, quiet your inner critic, and feel more in control of your emotions. Therapy with me is supportive but also action-oriented—we’ll work together to make changes that actually stick.

If you’re ready to feel more in control of your life, let’s talk. Click below to schedule a session and see if we’re a good fit.

My approach to therapy

Peery Professional Counseling is a specialized mental health practice focused on delivering effective treatment for anxiety and depression to adults and adolescents age13 and older. The practice is grounded in an empathetic, client-centered approach that fosters a non-judgmental and supportive environment conducive to healing and personal growth. Utilizing evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), I aim to equip clients with practical tools to address their unique challenges. Additionally, I am EMDR Basic Trained, which enhances my ability to support clients in processing trauma. My counseling style is both practical and goal-oriented, ensuring a structured and results-driven approach to care. For those who desire it, Biblical Counseling is also available as part of the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from me

Your life holds intrinsic worth, meaning, and purpose. My objective is to help you uncover and embrace these essential elements through a compassionate, transparent, and empathetic approach. By integrating a holistic perspective with straightforward guidance, I strive to support you in achieving a deeper understanding of your journey and fostering meaningful growth.

The ideal client for my practice is an individual who is genuinely committed to enhancing their mental health and overall well-being. This person values honesty and openness during counseling sessions, prioritizes keeping appointments, and demonstrates dedication to implementing strategies both within and outside of our meetings. They are also willing to complete periodic "homework" assignments, which are designed to reinforce progress and are typically not burdensome. This level of engagement fosters a collaborative and productive therapeutic relationship, ultimately supporting meaningful and lasting growth.
