Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Sherri Crespin, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner passionate about providing integrated care for complex mental health challenges, including personality disorders, PTSD and trauma, substance use disorders, ADHD, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, mood disorders, and bipolar conditions. My practice recognizes these conditions are interconnected in ways requiring specialized understanding.

I chose these specializations because I understand how trauma influences personality development, how ADHD complicates substance use recovery, how symptoms emerge during extreme stress, and how these complex interactions require providers who see the complete picture. Whether you're in recovery while managing other conditions, dealing with personality patterns that developed as survival mechanisms, or navigating multiple diagnoses, I bring the expertise needed for comprehensive care.

My approach emphasizes evidence-based treatments and the healing power of being truly understood. I recognize that seeking help for stigmatized conditions like personality disorders takes tremendous courage, especially after negative experiences with providers. I create a therapeutic space where you can explore your experiences without judgment or shame.

You can expect a thorough assessment, personalized treatment planning, and consistent support throughout our work together. My goal is to help you build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and thrive in your daily life.

My approach to therapy

Central to my practice is an unwavering belief that every person deserves exceptional, compassionate mental health care that honors their inherent dignity and nurtures their authentic wellbeing. I build on genuine human connection, deep clinical expertise, and profound respect for your autonomy and your one-of-a-kind path. The therapeutic relationship is a powerful engine of lasting, meaningful change, and I work to create a space where you feel truly seen, fully valued, and genuinely empowered to heal and grow.

I offer comprehensive, integrated psychiatry that holds mind, body, and spirit together. This means looking carefully beyond symptoms to understand how physical health, relationships, work demands, daily habits, and a sense of purpose collectively shape your overall wellbeing. I stay current with the latest advances in psychiatric medicine while deeply honoring the wisdom that comes from truly knowing each unique person I serve.

In treatment, I offer guidance grounded in clinical knowledge while fully respecting your right to make informed decisions. I walk you through your options, explain the benefits and risks clearly, and wholeheartedly support the choices you make. I am highly skilled in medication management and prescribe only when clinically appropriate, yet I remain equally devoted to healthy lifestyle changes and practical skill-building that foster enduring wellness and resilience.

I practice with genuine humility and openness, knowing that growth as a clinician is a lifelong and ongoing pursuit. I stay reachable and responsive between appointments, because steady support and timely, open communication are vital to feeling genuinely and consistently cared for throughout the entire experience.

No challenge is too complex, and no person is ever beyond real hope. I carry that deep conviction into every visit, every moment we share. Your healing journey deserves nothing less than my very best effort and care.

What you can expect from me

Your first visit will be comprehensive, compassionate, and genuinely empowering from beginning to end. No detail is too small, and no concern will go without attention.

We will explore everything influencing your mental health. I will ask about your primary concerns — what is weighing on you most and what you hope to accomplish. We will evaluate your symptoms across every dimension: emotional experiences such as sadness, anxiety, or fear; thought patterns like racing thoughts or difficulty focusing; physical signs including fatigue or tension; and behavioral changes such as social withdrawal or restlessness.

I will examine how long you have been living with these symptoms, what tends to ease or heighten them, and how they are affecting your career, relationships, and sense of self. I will ask about previous diagnoses, treatments you have pursued, and medications you have tried. Family mental health history holds real importance as well, since genetics meaningfully shapes how you may respond to treatment.

We will review your medical background, including chronic conditions, active prescriptions, supplements, and allergies. Lifestyle factors carry equal weight, so we will discuss sleep quality, physical activity, nutrition, stress management, and substance use including alcohol and tobacco.

I will also explore psychosocial elements: trauma history, significant losses, current stressors, your work environment, and the support systems surrounding you. You are the authority on your own life, and everything you share enables me to deliver care that is genuinely tailored to you.

Following this thorough assessment, we will determine together whether medication may support your recovery. I will guide you through your options, how they function, realistic timelines, potential side effects, and how we monitor your progress. Our first appointment is about establishing trust and ensuring you feel informed and confident about the path ahead.
