Welcome! I am an experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor in FL for over 20 years. I completed my MS in Mental Health Counseling at Nova University and have work in the field for many years as a therapist, chief clinical officer for adult and teen behavioral health programs and as a clinical supervisor for other therapists.
Through our sessions I will get to know you and we will tailor therapy to suit your individual style and preferences. All of my approaches are evidence-based and while I am certified in rational emotive behavior therapy and will utilize many cognitive behavioral approaches, I also understand the need for mindful interventions and specific approaches to address your concerns.
I appreciate the courage it takes to begin therapy! I will work with you to develop specific goals for therapy so you and I know we are on track with what's important for you and to help you envision what it will "look like" when you feel some relief from whatever is on your mind. Therapy is a collaboration and we will work together to identify some homework to do between sessions so you can practice new skills to reach your goal of being happy.
