Great to meet you!

HI, I’m Dr. Sherrie a licensed psychologist (PSY33937) based in Southern California. I provide telehealth therapy to adolescents and adults across the state.

I hold a degree of Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology and I bring 19 years of experience from working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety and depression. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to empower you to gain greater control over your thoughts and emotions, advocate for what you need, and cope with what you can’t get.

Please note, I am unable to provide the following services at this time: Employment Letters (i.e., work accommodation, disability), Legal letters, Immigration Letters, Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letters, Gender Affirming Letters, Psychological Testing, and Medication management.

My approach to therapy

I want you to feel heard and understood. I also want to be respectful of your unique background and identity. I see myself as your active guide, providing insights and tools drawn from both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices. This approach helps you clarify your thoughts, gain new perspectives, and delve into underlying patterns.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is designed to be a collaborative and insightful starting point. We'll begin with a structured conversation where I'll ask questions about current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and relevant historical information. This helps establish a clear baseline and gain a deeper understanding of your current experiences.

From there, we'll work together to develop specific treatment goals, outlining exactly what you hope to achieve while working together. This ensures we're both aligned on your path forward.

This initial session is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about my approach, how therapy works, or anything else that will help you determine if I'm the right fit for you. My priority is to create a space where you feel comfortable and confident in moving forward.
