Shevonne Sims, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor providing outpatient therapy services to adults in a private practice setting. Shevonne earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Saint Joseph in 2014 and began her career in community mental health, serving underserved and high-needs populations. This experience shaped her commitment to compassionate, ethical, and evidence-based care.
Shevonne integrates a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and faith-integrated practices, tailoring treatment to meet each client’s unique needs and values. She has experience addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, and approaches therapy with a strengths-based, hope-oriented perspective.
For clients who desire it, Shevonne thoughtfully incorporates Christian faith into the therapeutic process, viewing spirituality as a meaningful resource for healing and growth while always respecting client autonomy and clinical best practices.
Shevonne believes therapy is a collaborative process and strives to create a safe, supportive space where adults can explore challenges, build resilience, and move toward lasting emotional and spiritual well-being.
