Hello, and welcome. My name is Shibi Mathew, and I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. I have been working closely with a psychiatrist, gaining experience managing conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder, while focusing on building trusting and collaborative relationships with my clients.
With 23 years of experience as a registered nurse in critical care settings, I bring a strong foundation in holistic, thoughtful, and calm care to my practice. I earned my BSN in India and my MSN from Walden University, which prepared me to deliver evidence-based and culturally sensitive treatment. I strive to create a safe space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered as we work together toward your mental wellness.
My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered, with a focus on creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable sharing their concerns. I work closely with each individual to develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans that may include medication management and supportive therapy. I have experience treating conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. My goal is to promote clear communication, empower clients in their care, and support long-term mental wellness and stability.
During your first session, my priority is to create a comfortable, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to share your concerns. We will review your history, current symptoms, and treatment goals, and I will ask focused questions to gain a clear understanding of your needs and address any questions you may have.
Together, we will begin developing a personalized and evidence-based treatment plan that may include medication management and coping strategies. By the end of the session, you can expect greater clarity about your concerns and a collaborative plan moving forward.
