Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Shidelle Watson, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Sho Love Psychiatry & Health. I bring eight years of nursing experience, including more than three years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in outpatient, addiction treatment, and residential settings. I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, sleep difficulties, and other mental health concerns.

My passion for mental health is deeply personal. I created Sho Love in honor of my uncle, Sho Love, whose struggles inspired me to help others feel heard, supported, and comfortable seeking care.

As a working professional and mother, I understand how difficult it can be to prioritize yourself while managing life’s responsibilities. My goal is to create a welcoming space where you can speak openly, ask questions, and take an active role in your care. Together, we’ll explore your concerns and develop a treatment plan that reflects your needs, preferences, and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I take time to understand your symptoms, experiences, strengths, and goals, so we can develop a treatment plan that fits your life.

I combine medication management, when appropriate, with supportive conversations, practical coping strategies, and attention to habits that affect mental health, such as sleep and stress. I explain treatment options clearly, welcome your questions, and involve you in decisions. We’ll regularly review your progress and adjust your plan based on your response and feedback.

As a working professional and mother, I understand the challenges of balancing your own needs with daily responsibilities. My goal is to provide a welcoming, judgment-free space where you feel heard, respected, and supported as we work toward meaningful improvements in your well-being.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and understand what brings you to care. We’ll discuss your current concerns, mental health and medical history, previous treatments, sleep, daily routines, and goals. You’re welcome to ask questions and share at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Together, we’ll explore treatment options, including whether medication may be helpful. I’ll explain my recommendations and answer your questions so you can make informed decisions about your care.

My goal is for you to leave feeling heard and supported, with a clear understanding of our initial treatment plan and next steps. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet, we’ll work through it together.
