Great to meet you!

When life starts feeling overwhelming, whether through anxiety, depression, relationship or family challenges, trauma, substance use, or difficult life experiences, you may find yourself feeling disconnected from who you are or unsure of where to begin. I work with teenagers and adults navigating a wide range of mental health and emotional concerns, and I believe in meeting each person as an individual rather than defining them by a diagnosis or a single experience. My style is warm, collaborative, and curious, with an emphasis on creating a space where you can feel understood, talk openly, and gain a better understanding of yourself and what you need. I believe meaningful therapy comes from building a genuine connection, asking thoughtful questions, recognizing your strengths, and working together to create change that feels authentic to you. You do not have to wait until everything feels unmanageable to reach out-therapy can be a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and begin moving toward a life that feels more grounded and meaningful.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is not about having all the answers or being told who you should be, but about having a space where you can be honest about your experiences, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and feel supported as you work toward change. Our work will make room for both the challenges you are facing today and the relationships, experiences, and patterns that have shaped you, using a trauma-informed and collaborative approach. I incorporate cognitive and behavioral strategies, mindfulness, somatic therapy, and emotion-regulation skills to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and body while developing healthier ways of coping. I also draw from motivational and strengths-based approaches, supporting you in exploring change at your own pace while staying connected to your values, whether we are working through trauma, navigating recovery, processing grief, or strengthening relationships. My goal is to provide a compassionate, judgment-free space where you can develop practical tools, gain greater self-awareness, and work toward changes that feel meaningful and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

You do not need to have everything figured out before we begin. During our first few sessions, we will take time to understand what brought you to therapy, what you would like support with, and what you hope to feel or experience differently. I will meet you with warmth, empathy, curiosity, and respect while creating a space where you can be open, reflect honestly, and get comfortable with the process without feeling judged or pressured. Together, we will begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you and explore where it makes the most sense to start. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and more confident about taking the next steps toward the changes you want to make.
