Great to meet you!

I am Shila, a dedicated Christian who has spent over 25 years serving in nursing, with a special heart for those who are unhoused and underserved in our local community. Much of my outreach has been through my local church, where I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families in need. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a Master’s degree in Nursing, I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care.

At home, I am happily married and the proud mother of three grown daughters. My family brings me great joy—especially my two grandsons and one granddaughter! I love the peace and connection that comes with living on a farm, where I find balance and renewal.

My approach to therapy

I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and valued. Building trust is at the heart of my practice. I listen carefully to each individual’s story, working collaboratively to develop personalized care plans that honor their unique strengths, needs, and goals. My style is warm, empathetic, and supportive; I am dedicated to empowering clients on their journey toward healing and wholeness.

What you can expect from me

Specializations and Focus: My clinical expertise includes working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and severe mental illness. I have a special heart for those who are unhoused or underserved, drawing on years of outreach experience in the community. I am passionate about reducing barriers to care and advocating for those who may feel overlooked or marginalized.

I integrate evidence-based therapies with medication management when appropriate, always respecting each client’s preferences and values. My faith inspires me to offer hope and encouragement, while my nursing background ensures a thorough, holistic approach to mental health.

Whether supporting individuals, families, or groups, I am committed to walking alongside my clients with compassion and dedication, helping them find renewed strength, resilience, and peace.
