Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Shirlisa Love, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a passion for supporting individuals through life’s emotional challenges. My journey into mental health care began with a deep desire to help people feel seen, heard, and empowered. I understand how overwhelming it can be to seek support, and I strive to make that first step feel safe and affirming.

I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health from Walden University, building on years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, young adults, working professionals, parents, and older adults each with unique stories, needs, and strengths.

My clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, stress-related disorders, and mood challenges across the lifespan. I use a collaborative, evidence-based approach that may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and lifestyle guidance. I’m especially passionate about helping clients who feel emotionally stuck or are navigating major life changes.

I provide virtual care through secure telehealth, making mental health support more accessible and convenient. If you’re ready to take a step toward healing and growth, I’d be honored to walk that path with you.

My approach to therapy

I adopt a holistic, personalized approach, recognizing that each individual’s experiences and goals are unique. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, or navigating life transitions, we’ll collaborate to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your needs, incorporating therapy, medication management, and lifestyle adjustments.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you’ll find a supportive, non-judgmental space to share your story. We’ll explore your concerns, discuss your goals, and begin crafting a personalized plan to guide your path toward improved mental health. You’ll have time to ask questions and together we’ll begin to shape a plan that feels right for you, whether that includes therapy, medication, or both. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and clear on the next steps in your journey.

I work with clients of all ages- teens, adults, and older adults, who are ready to take the next step toward healing and balance. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or simply need a space to be heard, I’m here to help. I invite you to book a free 15-minute consultation so we can talk about your needs and see if we’re a good fit.
