Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia with 17 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. I began my career in mental health hospitals, working with children and young adults who experienced significant trauma. Later, I served as a Care Manager for managed care companies, and eventually founded My Caring Counseling, a private practice created to offer a safe, supportive, and creative space for clients of all ages to explore, heal, and grow.

I primarily work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, life stressors, major life transitions, self-esteem challenges, interpersonal conflicts, and couples’ concerns. I approach therapy with a person-centered lens, tailoring my methods to each individual. I integrate tools from solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, supportive therapy, and movement therapy to support your emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being.

Clients often describe my style as warm, empathetic, and attentive. I listen closely, help you explore your goals, and collaborate with you to find the path that works best for your unique situation.

As someone from a diverse cultural background, I’m committed to offering inclusive, respectful, and culturally responsive care. I’ve completed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training to ensure that all clients feel seen and supported. I strongly believe in your capacity for self-healing and meaningful change, and I’m honored to walk alongside you as you navigate your journey.

If you’re ready to explore your goals, manage life’s challenges, or strengthen your relationships, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy through a person-centered lens, tailoring my methods to meet each client’s unique needs. I draw from a variety of techniques, including solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, supportive therapy, and movement therapy. This holistic approach is designed to support your emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being.

My style is warm, empathetic, and attentive, and I prioritize truly listening to you. Together, we’ll explore the path that feels right for you, helping you develop tools and insights to navigate challenges, reach your goals, and create meaningful change in your life.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to gain the following:

  1. My practice provides a judgment-free zone where they can express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly, without fear of criticism. Through a mix of therapeutic approaches, clients will gain practical tools for managing stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. They’ll learn techniques such as cognitive-behavioral strategies, solution-focused methods, and movement therapy to enhance their emotional and mental well-being.
  2. By exploring their emotions, behaviors, and thought patterns, clients will develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their values, and their needs. This self-awareness is the foundation for meaningful change.
  3. Clients will build skills to handle life’s challenges with greater resilience, including tools for overcoming self-esteem issues, navigating interpersonal conflicts, and addressing anxiety or depression.
  4. My approach emphasizes the belief that clients have the innate ability to heal themselves. They will leave with a sense of empowerment, knowing they have the strength to create positive change and overcome obstacles in their lives.
  5. In working with individuals and couples, clients will develop better communication skills, a deeper understanding of their relationships, and more effective strategies for creating healthier connections with others.
  6. Clients will benefit from a balanced approach to healing that addresses their mental, emotional, and physical health. Whether through mindfulness, movement, or other therapeutic tools, they’ll leave each session feeling more integrated and whole.
