Shlomo Bauman

Hello! My name is Shlomo Bauman, and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner as well as a Family Nurse Practitioner with over eight years of experience providing care throughout New York City. I earned my master’s training through Pace University and Wilkes University. I am known for being thorough, dedicated, and compassionate, with a strong commitment to collaborative, team-based care. I have a particular interest in ADHD and anxiety, especially in kids and teens, and I welcome families who've had a hard time finding a prescriber willing to work with younger patients. In my practice I see a wide range of concerns, and I always take time to understand your full picture before we build a plan together. I'm currently accepting new telehealth clients, with openings on Wednesdays and evenings.

My approach centers on thoughtful evaluation, evidence-based treatment, and building trusting relationships to support each patient’s mental health and overall well-being. I listen carefully before recommending anything — understanding your history, your goals, and what you've already tried. Whether we're addressing a new diagnosis or fine-tuning long-term treatment, I want you to feel informed and in control of your care.

Our first session is a conversation. I'll ask about your history, what your day-to-day looks like, and what you're hoping to get from treatment — and I'll leave plenty of time for your questions too. By the end, we'll have a shared sense of where to start and what working together will look like.
