Great to meet you!

I treasure my experiences working with clients for sixteen years at OSU East, Talbot Hall and five years at Dublin Springs Changes. It is so true that all behavior makes sense when we see it from the client's perspective. Treatment for Addiction and Mental Health Diagnosis requires to view symptoms within context of recursive feedback. However, the absence of symptoms should not be considered evidence of perfect health.

My approach to therapy

I have learned that the common evidence-based approaches for treatments are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Integrative/Eclectic Therapy. The helpful approach to therapy is not one-size-fits-all, but rather a collaborative partnership that blends evidence-based techniques with a strong empathetic therapeutic relationship. The most effective approaches often integrate elements from different schools of thought to tailor treatment to an individual's specific needs, personality, and goals.

What you can expect from me

I feel that the best approach is one where client feel understood and empowered to make changes, and that is flexible enough to adapt as they grow. The key components of effective therapy are Active participation, Goal-Oriented, Action Outside Sessions, and Focus on Strengths. The core foundation of a strong therapeutic alliance are Trust and Safety, Collaboration, Empathy and Genuineness.
