Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome to The Healing Porch Collective! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience in mental health and 7 years as a therapist. I received my Masters of Social Work from San Jose State University. My therapeutic approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, cultural humility, community, joy, healing, and the belief that our stories deserve to be heard and honored.

My values are deeply influenced by the wisdom, creativity, courage, and liberation-centered work of Nikki Giovanni, Angela Davis, Assata Shakur, Toni Morrison, and Nina Simone. I believe therapy can be both a place for healing and a space to reconnect with our voice, identity, relationships, and sense of possibility.

I work with youth and adults who may be navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem, or simply feeling disconnected from themselves.

During my time of self-care and connection, I have a deep love for collecting vinyl records, listening to music, reading books, roller skating, spending time with friends/family, cooking with friends, and watching sports. Music reminds me of the power of memory, storytelling, culture, and connection. I believe, much like a good record, that every person has layers, history, and a story worth listening to.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives, healing begins with being seen, heard, and respected. My hope is that I create a therapy space where folks can heal, reconnect, and feel empowered to live as their authentic self! My practice is centered around therapy for the mind, rooted in culture, and here for our people!

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another, and begin to understand what brings you to therapy. You can expect me to listen with curiosity, cultural humility, care without judgment, and collaboration. My role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, honesty, authenticity, and respect as you work toward your healing.
