Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the Mental Health Field. I have worked at State Hospitals, Department of Corrections, and Community Mental Health facilities. I have a background working with clients who have severe mental illness such as Schizophrenia to those who suffer from Depression and Anxiety. I have a background in conducting groups as well as individual counseling.

My approach to therapy

I believe in equipping clients with the tools, skills, and techniques that help to empower them to make "Confident" decisions. I help clients to learn how to not stay stuck in their emotions and work toward finding solutions. I use Cognitive Behavorial Therapy with a mix of other modalities such as DBT, Person Centered therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.

What you can expect from me

I provide a safe place for clients to express their thoughts and feelings without the fear of shame or judgement. I want to empower clients to know that they can make changes, confident decisions, and implement boundaries, while using assertive communication skills.
