Great to meet you!

I've been doing this work for over 15 years, and it all started from a deeply personal place. I went through therapy myself (go ahead and ask me why in a session), and having someone help me through that journey inspired me to give back and help others who might be going through something similar. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, grief, ADHD, women's issues including postpartum depression, family and relationship challenges, and I'm passionate about serving the LGBTQIA+ community. What drives me is seeing people grow and helping them move forward. I meet people where they are, and we work together from there.

My approach to therapy

I'm person-centered at my core, which means I tailor everything to you and where you're at in your journey. I combine CBT, DBT, trauma-focused CBT, reality therapy, and psychodynamic approaches to find whatever fits your needs best, so that you can make the progress you're looking for. My philosophy is all about meeting you where you are, identifying those cognitive distortions and triggers, and then working together to reframe thoughts for healthier cognition. We're peeling back that onion together, figuring out your goals and aspirations, and then collaborating to get you where you want to go. It's a partnership, and I'm flexible in how we get there.

What you can expect from me

First sessions are all about connection and comfort. I'll introduce myself and share a bit about my experience, and I encourage you to do the same so we can see where our minds meet. I like to have some fun and keep things down-to-earth - break the ice with something that's not too heavy. I'm transparent about assessments and what we're measuring, so you know exactly what's happening and why. My goal is to make you feel comfortable from the start, because when you feel at ease, that's when real work can happen. Sometimes I'll even provide tools in that first session if it makes sense. I'm ready to rock and roll, and I just want to work with you to help you grow.
