Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Tay (they/them/elle), and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in San Diego, California. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Multicultural Community Counseling and Social Justice Education.

I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals, LGBTQ+ communities, people of color, and those in non-monogamous and kink-affirming communities. My practice is grounded in cultural humility, affirming care, and a commitment to creating a space where clients can show up as their authentic selves.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, affirming, and rooted in liberation. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered to move at a pace that feels right for you, honoring your unique identities, lived experiences, and values. Together, we'll explore the parts of yourself that may feel unseen, misunderstood, or shaped by life's experiences with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment.

As someone with multiple minoritized identities, I understand what it can be like to navigate systems and environments that do not always recognize or affirm the complexity of who you are. These lived experiences inform my work and deepen my commitment to providing culturally responsive care. Together, we'll build on your strengths, deepen your self-understanding, develop practical tools for navigating challenges, and work toward a life that feels more authentic, empowered, and aligned with your values.

What you can expect from me

During our first few sessions, we'll spend time getting to know one another, exploring what brings you to therapy, and discussing your personal history, strengths, and goals. I'll also answer any questions you have about my approach so you can determine whether we're a good fit.

As we begin working together, my priority is to create a trusting, supportive relationship where you feel safe showing up as your authentic self. Whether you're looking to process difficult experiences, navigate current challenges, or work toward meaningful change, we'll move at a pace that feels right for you and collaborate on a path that aligns with your needs and values.
