Great to meet you!

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming. You may be struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, grief, depression, or experiences from the past that continue to affect your present. Perhaps you find yourself reacting in ways that don't make sense, feeling disconnected from others, or carrying burdens that have followed you for years.

I believe that symptoms often make sense when we understand the story behind them.

For nearly 20 years, I have worked as a psychotherapist helping children, adolescents, adults, and families heal, strengthen relationships, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. My experience includes working in private practice, schools, pediatric healthcare settings, and community mental health programs. I also taught graduate students in counseling and family therapy programs, helping train the next generation of therapists.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. I draw from psychodynamic psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, AEDP, attachment-based therapy, mindfulness practices, and other evidence-based approaches. Together, we work to understand not only what is happening in your life, but why it is happening and how healing can occur.

What you can expect from me

In our first sessions, my goal is to understand your story and learn about the strengths that have helped you through difficult experiences. We move at a pace that feels safe and respectful. You do not have to tell everything at once. Therapy is a process of building trust, understanding patterns, and discovering new possibilities for growth.

Over time, clients often find that they feel more grounded, more connected to themselves and others, and better able to respond to life's challenges with confidence and self-compassion. Rather than feeling controlled by old wounds, they begin to experience greater freedom, resilience, and hope.
