Great to meet you!

Welcome — I’m Shuntell Browne, a licensed therapist and proud United States Navy veteran. My background in military service deeply informs the way I show up in the therapy space: with structure, compassion, accountability, and a strong commitment to helping others navigate life’s challenges with resilience and confidence.

I work with both children and adults, specializing in anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, trauma, grief, and family transitions such as divorce or changes in caregiving. I have extensive experience supporting children and adolescents who are struggling with self-esteem, peer relationships, school stress, and big emotions, as well as adults who are working through life stressors, past trauma, and relationship challenges.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I focus on creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel understood and empowered, while also learning practical coping skills they can apply outside of sessions. I believe therapy should be both healing and actionable, and I partner closely with clients to help them make meaningful, lasting changes.

Whether you are seeking therapy for yourself or your child, my goal is to support growth, build emotional resilience, and help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

My approach to therapy

I work with clients in a supportive, structured, and collaborative way, creating a safe space where growth and healing can occur. As a licensed therapist and U.S. Navy veteran, I bring a calm, grounded presence while helping clients build accountability and practical coping skills. My approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, tailored to each individual’s needs.

I work with both children and adults, focusing on anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, trauma, grief, self-esteem, and family transitions. With children, I use age-appropriate, creative strategies to build emotional awareness and coping skills. With adults, I focus on insight, skill-building, and breaking unhelpful patterns. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, resilient, and confident both in and outside of therapy.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We will spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brought you to therapy, and identifying your current concerns, strengths, and goals. There is no pressure to have everything figured out this session is about understanding your needs and beginning to build trust.

Together, we will start identifying therapy goals and what progress might look like for you or your child. I may introduce simple coping strategies or tools that can be used right away, depending on your needs. Clients can expect a calm, structured, and collaborative experience focused on feeling heard, supported, and empowered from the very first session.
