Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dr. Shushanne Wynter-Minott, a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of healthcare experience. Many feel overwhelmed from constantly “holding it all together” while silently battling life transitions, chronic illness, relationship challenges, or the emotional demands of school, work, and family. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, burnout, life transitions, and the emotional impact of chronic health conditions. I’m especially passionate about supporting healthcare professionals, executives, caregivers, and individuals who spend so much time caring for others that they forget to care for themselves.

I believe mental health care should be compassionate, personalized, and focused on the whole person. My goal is to help clients feel supported, understood, and empowered as they work toward improved emotional wellness and balance.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is warm, collaborative, holistic, and rooted in functional health principles. I believe emotional wellness is deeply connected to physical health, lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, stress, relationships, and underlying medical conditions. I take time to understand the full picture of what my clients are experiencing so we can identify possible contributing factors affecting mental health symptoms.

I work closely with each client to create a personalized treatment plan that fits their unique needs and goals. In some cases, this may include recommending or reviewing laboratory testing to evaluate factors that can impact mood, energy, focus, and overall emotional wellness. I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can openly discuss their concerns and feel heard. Treatment may include medication management, supportive therapy, education, lifestyle recommendations, coping skills, and practical strategies to improve overall well-being and daily functioning.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where we take time to get to know you and understand what brought you to treatment. We’ll talk about your symptoms, stressors, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and goals for care.

My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the next steps. Together, we’ll begin creating a personalized plan to help you feel more balanced, confident, and emotionally well.
