Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Siah, I am a transfem LCSW who uses they/them pronouns. I have experience working with folks from a multitude of backgrounds since 2015. I have worked with concerns related to trauma, grief/bereavement, anxiety and depression. I live in Brooklyn and have a fluffy cat named Marcy.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy through a companionship model, incorporating mindfulness and meaning making as tools to help you navigate trauma and loss. I have a warm and personable, down-to-earth style. My goal is to empower you to heal from trauma, complicated bereavement and depression.

What you can expect from me

There is no one size fits all approach to therapy. Usually by the end of our first session, we will agree upon themes and issues to explore in our work together. I don't use a lot of therapy jargon and offer practical, applicable tools to empower you to manage and overcome obstacles. I believe the most important aspect of therapy is a nurturing, empathetic relationship.
