Hello, and welcome!

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 10 years of nursing experience, including 4 years dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to children, adolescents, and adults. I have also been practicing as a nurse practitioner for more than 2 years.

I founded Root & Mind Psychiatric Services, PLLC because I believe mental health care should be individualized, compassionate, and never feel rushed. Every client is unique, and I wanted to create a practice where I have the flexibility to take the time needed to truly listen, understand each person’s needs, and provide thoughtful, quality care.

At Root & Mind, I strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. My goal is to provide knowledgeable, evidence-based care while building a genuine connection with each person I have the privilege of serving.

My approach to providing care is patient-centered, collaborative, and grounded in compassion and evidence-based practice. I believe every individual’s mental health journey is unique, and I take the time to understand each patient’s experiences, concerns, strengths, and goals. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard and empowered to actively participate in their care.

Through open communication and shared decision-making, I work with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, education, and supportive interventions. My goal is to partner with each patient to identify strategies that promote symptom improvement, resilience, and overall well-being while providing care that is respectful, personalized, and aligned with their needs.

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where we begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to better understand their mental health history, current symptoms, concerns, goals, and overall well-being. We will discuss factors such as previous treatment experiences, medical and psychiatric history, lifestyle, and any challenges that may be affecting daily functioning.

My goal for the initial session is to build a strong foundation through open communication, trust, and collaboration. Together, we will identify areas of focus and develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, education, and supportive strategies tailored to the client’s needs.

Clients can expect to leave the first session with a clearer understanding of their symptoms, available treatment options, and next steps in their mental health care journey. My goal is for each client to feel heard, respected, and supported as an active partner in their treatment.
