Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Dr. Sidra Ghafoor. I'm a double board-certified psychiatrist in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry, with a clinical practice serving teens and adults. I graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. I have worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, private practice and clinical leadership.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach is patient-centered, integrative, and holistic. I combine evidence-based psychiatric care with a deep respect for each patient's lived experience. I have expertise in medication management, psychotherapy, and lifestyle interventions such as fitness-based recovery.

What you can expect from our first session

My patients should expect a collaborative, compassionate, and structured therapeutic relationship. My model includes open communication, personalized care plans, and a commitment to helping patients achieve lasting wellness. I tailor my approach to each patient’s unique needs, whether they are experiencing depression, anxiety, addiction, or complex psychiatric conditions.

I believe that the key to a good doctor/patient relationship is mutual trust, consistent communication, and shared decision-making.

I put a high priority on understanding your goals and values, since this creates a foundation for long-term success in treatment.
