Great to meet you!

Trauma-informed therapy for the body, mind, and spirit; specializing in Transpersonal, Internal Family Systems(IFS) and somatic work with women recovering from trauma,

Sienna is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Santa Rosa, California, Sienna specializes in trauma recovery through IFS, somatic therapy, EMDR as well as spiritually-integrated approaches. Helping you heal in body, mind, spirit and heart.

I hold a BFA from California Institute of the Arts and an MA in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I'm licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) through the Board of Behavioral Sciences, certified through the Upledger Institute in CranioSacral Therapy and Somato-Emotional Release, certified in Transcendent Leadership and Coaching, and EMDR-trained through an EMDRIA-approved program.

My approach to therapy

Sienna Mauve takes a whole-person approach:

Mind : Humanistic and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapies to help clients make sense of their personal narratives with clarity and insight.

Body : Somatic work releases experiences held in the body, restoring energy and presence through embodied awareness.

Spirit : Transpersonal therapy honors each client's spiritual background and explores the deeper "study of the soul," supporting genuine spiritual growth.

Heart : Creating an inclusive space to process emotional needs and "heart-centered" struggles — using Internal Family Systems (IFS) to work with emotional protectors and parts, alongside support for intergenerational trauma or complex family dynamics.

Deciding to enter therapy takes courage and strength. I work from the belief that everyone is a whole, capable person — and that all of us need support sometimes. If you're navigating past or present challenges, we can work together to move through what's unresolved, restore balance, and open up new possibilities in your life.

What you can expect from me

I'll invite you to share what brought you in, what you're hoping for, and what's been weighing on you. I'll also ask about your history, relationships, family, and supports. You set the pace, and you never have to share more than you're ready to.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and integrative. Depending on your needs, I draw on Transpersonal, Humanistic, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) work, alongside a somatic lens that pays attention to how your body carries stress, anxiety, or past experience. In the first session, I'll explain this in plain language and answer any questions you might have as well.

Therapy doesn't require a crisis or a trauma history to be right for you. It's a place to heal from difficult experiences, and just as often, a space for ongoing support as you navigate the complexity of being human in today's world. I welcome people from all walks of life.

If you are ready to take the first step toward re-establishing your true authentic self, please schedule an appointment with me today. Have questions? That’s normal. Reach out to me and I will answer any questions you have.
