Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Sierra Laguerre, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) here to support you through life’s challenges. With 13 years of dedicated experience in the mental health field, my background includes 5 years of clinical work as a Licensed Associate Counselor under clinical supervision. I typically work with children (9-12), adolescents, adults, and seniors. I am deeply committed to providing a compassionate, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed space where you can feel truly seen. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Penn State University, I have developed a strong foundational understanding of the legal frameworks, statutes, and civil rights governing mental health care. Earning my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kean University, I have advanced my ability to conceptualize diverse cognitive profiles and adapt my therapeutic approach to varying thought patterns. Together, we can navigate areas such as self-worth, trauma, grief, relationships, life transitions, and racial, cultural, or LGBTQIA+ identity.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, holistic, and deeply grounded in trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. I believe that healing happens when you feel truly seen, safe, and valued in your fullness. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, I tailor our sessions to your unique life experiences that honor your background, and respect your pacing. Together, we will look at how your past experiences, systemic environments, and cultural identity shape your present reality. By focusing on your inherent strengths, I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space to help you heal from trauma, process grief, rebuild self-worth, and confidently navigate life transitions.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a judgment-free environment, trauma-informed care, culturally responsive therapy, collaboration, compassion, empathy, and respect for your pace. We will work entirely at your own pace, and I will follow your lead.
