Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Sierra. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My intention is to create a safe space to focus on your goals and experiences. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy to help clients recognize and modify unhelpful thinking patterns, process emotions, reduce triggers and symptoms, and increase coping and communication skills.

As a therapist, I've worked with teens and adults in a variety of life circumstances: students in middle school, high school, and college, teens with married, divorced, and remarried parents, clients in new or long term relationships, parents of young children, step-children, and adjusting to having adult children, those experiencing job changes and career stressors, and those who are spiritual, religious, and non-religious. The concerns addressed with clients have included ADHD, anger, anxiety, depression, faith transitions, grief, life transitions, OCD, relationship distress, stress, and trauma.

My approach to therapy

Session time is your time. I love it when clients bring specific things they want to discuss or work on. You are the expert on your life, and I want any therapy resources I have to be available in support of the goals we establish. Generally, I'll follow up on anything from our prior session(s) and then check if you want to continue from where we left off or ask if there is something else you want to focus on today.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I want to learn what brought you to therapy, discuss the symptoms impacting you, and obtain a basic history so that we can establish treatment goals together. I let clients know that just because I ask, doesn't mean I'm entitled to the answer. You always get to decide what you share with others and when. Being trusted with your thoughts and experiences is something I take seriously.
