Great to meet you!

Many of my clients come in wondering how they keep ending up in the same emotional places—reacting in ways they don’t fully recognize, even in relationships that matter deeply to them. With 25 years of clinical experience, I help individuals and couples make sense of these patterns at their root, so what feels automatic, confusing, or painful can finally become understandable and changeable. Our work is thoughtful, trauma-informed, and deeply relational—focused on helping you move from repetition and reactivity toward clarity, steadiness, and more secure connection with yourself and others.

My approach to therapy

My work is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, which means we pay close attention to the patterns that show up in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships—especially the ones that repeat even when you try to change them. Many of my clients come in feeling like they already understand their situation intellectually, but still find themselves reacting in ways that feel automatic, frustrating, or out of their control. In our work, I help you slow those moments down so we can understand what’s actually happening beneath them, and why it makes sense given your history. The goal is not abstract insight, but real shifts in how you experience yourself and your relationships over time.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we focus on what has been bringing you to therapy right now and begin to map the patterns that feel most present or overwhelming in your life. I’ll ask questions that help me understand not just what is happening, but how it is affecting you emotionally and relationally, so you don’t have to carry the full weight of explaining everything perfectly. Many clients experience this first conversation as a relief—having space to slow things down and feel genuinely understood. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of how I work, and we’ll begin to identify what might be most helpful to focus on moving forward.
