Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Silvana! If you're the person who always shows up for everyone else but can't remember the last time someone showed up for you, you're exactly who I work with. Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), a gentle approach to understanding the different parts of yourself (the part that keeps going, the part that's quietly running on empty), I help those parts work together instead of against each other. I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with an MSW from the University of Utah, and I offer sessions in both English and Spanish. Therapy can feel like a big step, and I'd love to help you get to a place where taking care of yourself doesn't feel selfish.

My approach to therapy

I like to think of you as the expert on your own life — my job is to help you understand yourself better, not tell you who to be. Using Internal Family Systems, we'll get curious about the different "parts" of you — like the part that never stops doing for others, or the part that feels guilty when you rest — instead of trying to push them away. My style is warm and collaborative; I'll ask questions, but you set the pace. Over time, the goal is for all your parts to feel heard, so you're not stuck fighting yourself just to get through the day.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really just about getting to know each other — no pressure to have it all figured out. I'll ask about what's bringing you in, what a good outcome would look like for you, and a bit about your story so far. I want it to feel like a conversation, not an interrogation, so we'll go at whatever pace feels comfortable. By the end, you'll have a sense of how we'd work together and what the next few sessions might focus on.
