Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Silvia, an experienced counselor passionate about supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families as they navigate life’s challenges and difficult relationships. I believe that every individual has the capacity to grow, heal, and thrive when given the right tools, support, and guidance to address emotional and relational struggles.

As a professional counselor, I approach therapy from a faith-based perspective and believe that no one is meant to face life alone. I am convinced that, regardless of the circumstances, God can provide opportunities for healing, balance, hope, and restoration if we choose to allow it.

I believe that solutions and growth are possible for every person who is willing to seek support and engage in the therapeutic process. Over the years, I have worked extensively with young people and their families, and my experience as a school counselor allows me to offer valuable insight and practical support to parents whose children may be facing academic, emotional, behavioral, or relational challenges.

My main goal with my clients is to create a therapeutic environment that is collaborative, affirming, compassionate, and empowering. I strive to build meaningful relationships with clients that foster personal growth, resilience, healing, and lasting change.

If you are seeking a bilingual and bicultural therapist who practices from an eclectic, and compassionate perspective, I would be honored to support you. To get started, please contact me to schedule your free 15-minute consultation call. I look forward to connecting with you and answering any questions you may have about the counseling process.

My approach to therapy

I use an integrative approach, with the main goal of creating an open therapeutic relationship grounded in mutual trust, collaboration, compassion, affirmation, and empowerment.

What you can expect from me

During the first appointment, I will primarily focus on information-gathering. I will ask what led you to seek therapy and what goals you hope to achieve. I will ask general questions about your medical and personal history, including your relationships with friends and family. I will then share information about my therapeutic approach and give you the opportunity to decide whether you would be willing to work with me.
