Great to meet you!

You don’t have to go through this alone. Many of the people I work with come in feeling overwhelmed, not sleeping well, struggling with anxiety, mood changes, or substance-related concerns—and not sure where to start. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and there is a way forward.

I’m Silvia Hill, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience, including working in emergency room settings where I cared for patients during some of their most difficult moments. That experience shaped how I practice today—I stay calm, I listen closely, and I focus on helping you feel safe and supported while we figure things out together.

I provide medication management along with supportive guidance, always at a pace that feels manageable for you. My goal is not just to prescribe, but to help you understand what’s happening and regain a sense of control in your daily life.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before your first visit. We’ll take it one step at a time.

My approach to therapy

Your story matters, and I believe the best care begins with truly listening. I take time to understand what you’re experiencing and what may be contributing to it before deciding on the best path forward.

My approach combines supportive guidance with thoughtful, individualized treatment planning. Not every situation requires medication, and when it is part of care, we’ll discuss options together so you feel informed and comfortable with your choices.

I use a collaborative style, including motivational interviewing, to help you explore what’s working, what isn’t, and what changes feel realistic for you. My goal is to help you feel more stable, supported, and in control—at a pace that works for you.

What you can expect from me

From our first conversation, you’ll find a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are. We’ll start by talking through what’s been weighing on you, your current symptoms, and what you’re hoping to improve.

I’ll ask about your medical and mental health history, past treatments, and any concerns you have so we can get a clear picture of what’s going on. Together, we’ll begin to identify patterns and decide on the next steps that feel right for you.

There’s no pressure to make immediate decisions. If appropriate, we may discuss treatment options, including supportive strategies and/or medication, always at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer understanding of your path forward.
