Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Therapist in California, I believe that prioritizing your mental health is the foundation of building your own personal wellbeing. Daily life can be challenging with necessities of daily life. Learning to navigate the stress, work, partners, children, phase of life changes and extended family obligations can be challenging but taking the time to seek help to unpack these stressors can be a rewarding first step. For over seven years I have been working in the mental health space collaborating with clients as they navigate Medical Concerns, Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Loss and Adjustment Issues. In addition to providing support to young adults, middle aged adults and older adult populations, in recent years I have increasingly been working with women, mothers and people of color as they navigate life's challenges.

My approach to therapy

I believe that we as individuals and are all unique. I take this individual approach when developing a working relationship with a client. When a client and I decide that we have a good fit, our collaborative therapeutic relationship begins. It is essential to establish a rapport based in mutual respect, open communication and collaboration to work towards solutions and skill building. I believe in providing support, a listening ear and at times a challenge as we co-journey together.

What you can expect from me

I recognize that making the choice to do your work can seem challenging. Our introductory session will be devoted to exploring what is leading you to do the work at this time. Exploring your background is also a part of this rapport building process, but our main task will be to open the lines of communication to lay the foundation of a safe space. Building a safe and welcoming therapeutic relationship with be our first priority together during this initial phase.
