Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed psychologist who loves supporting children, teens, young adults, and the caregivers who show up for them every day. Over the past decade, I cultivated deep experience in providing trauma‐informed, culturally responsive care for families affected by major life stressors, such as immigration, loss, separations, or chronic mental illness. I’m certified in Parent‐Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and offer virtual PCIT for families with children aged 2-7, along with specialized support for caregivers navigating emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges. At the heart of my practice is a simple goal: creating a space where young people feel safe and understood, and where caregivers feel encouraged, empowered, and connected.

My approach to therapy

I work to make therapy a space where young people feel genuinely seen, heard, and safe—somewhere you don’t have to explain or defend who you are. I pay close attention to how culture, family, and identity shape our experiences, especially when those pieces feel complicated or misunderstood, and I honor the many ways young people navigate those layers. When I work with caregivers, I help them understand what their child or teen is going through and support them in showing up in ways that feel grounding rather than overwhelming. I’m trained in PCIT for younger kids and also support teens and young adults dealing with big emotions, stress, trauma, or major life changes. My style is affirming, collaborative, and practical, focused on strengthening relationships and helping families feel more connected and supported as they grow together.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will spend time learning about your journey that led you to seek therapy, the challenges you or your family currently face, and what you hope to gain from our time together. I will ask you questions about family culture, health, school/work, relationships, and previous mental health or behavioral services to better understand the supports and barriers in your life. You may also be asked to complete questionnaires about you or your family to help me learn more about your experiences. Then, we will talk about goals for our work together and set a plan that fits your situation. For caregivers seeking services for their child, I meet with caregivers and their child together in the first session to make sure both perspectives are taken into account when setting goals and expectations for our work together.
