Great to meet you!

My name is Sindhya Rajan and I am a master-level independently clinician practicing in Ohio and Indiana. I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2018 with a bachelor's in psychology, and then from The University of Toledo in 2021 with a master's of social work. I focus on using techniques from CBT, DBT, and SFT modalities.

My approach to therapy

I use a very trauma-informed approach, while also acknowledging the the impact of micro, macro, and mezzo societal factors that impact mental health. I take a compassionate, collaborative approach to therapy that combines practical skills with a deeper understanding of how past experiences can shape the way we respond to the world today.

Therapy is not just a space to vent, nor is it about “getting rid of” difficult emotions, but learning how to understand them and respond in healthier and more productive ways.

What you can expect from me

In the first therapy session, a client can expect to get to know me, and vice versa. I prioritize knowing about your story from your own words, and also analyzing the strengths of your life such as the means of support and access to resources.
