Great to meet you!

I offer a safe and supportive space where you can explore your challenges and strengths. I provide therapy to adults and teens who are struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, and depression. These challenges often arise with stress, life changes, and/or trauma. I received my master's degree in social work from UC Berkeley. I have worked in mental health for the last twenty years. I specialize in supporting the LGBTQI+ population. I'm experienced94 in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, child abuse, gender dysphoria, gender affirming care, and intergenerational trauma. What keeps me going in this field is watching clients achieve their goals and witnessing the positive impact on people when they feel accepted and valued.

My approach to therapy

My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care, allowing us to understand how your thoughts, emotions, and experiences shape your daily life. I take a strengths-based approach, recognizing and elevating the abilities, insights, and inner resources you already possess. I create a warm and accepting atmosphere where you can explore freely, without fear of judgment. I utilize active listening and show both empathy and validation though both my words and non-verbal cues. Together, we’ll identify what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and what’s needed to help you move forward with confidence and self-compassion.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about building trust and rapport. I will explain the therapeutic process and confidentiality. We will be using our time together to gather information about your needs and reasons for seeking therapy. We may also identify some initial goals during this time as we collaborate together on your treatment plan.
