Great to meet you!

My name is Sipho (pronounced See-poh). I am a queer and non-binary therapist of color. Welcome to my practice Ubuntu Wellbeing, LLC! I got my Master's in Social Work (MSW) in 2016 from University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). I hope to begin leading supportive group therapy in 2025.

I specialize in working with LGBTQ & BIPOC individuals struggling with

  • Anxiety,
  • ADHD,
  • Grief & trauma recovery.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My practice name is rooted in the ancient Zimbabwean philosophy of Ubuntu "a person is human through others", or more simply "I am what I am because of who we all are". I am a solution-focused therapist and intuitive healer. My eclectic treatment model helps my clients by combining principles from:

  • Cognitive Behavior,
  • Group Therapy,
  • Motivational Interviewing,
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction,
  • & Psychoeducation

What you can expect from our first session

I create safe spaces for people to honor their intuition and heal. I hope my clients feel seen, heard, and have a better understanding of themselves and how they can improve their relationships with themselves and others.

Our first session will be an intro to how I run my practice and help you, the client, set treatment goals.
