Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Viv! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience working with children, teens, adults, and families. I believe therapy can be a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported while making meaningful changes in your life. Reaching out for support isn’t always easy, and I hope to make that process feel a little more comfortable. I especially enjoy supporting clients navigating anxiety, stress, difficult emotions, life transitions, family and relationship challenges, ADHD-related concerns, and cross-cultural experiences. I also provide therapy in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

My approach to therapy

I believe everyone comes to therapy with a different story, so there isn’t one approach that works for everyone. I take time to get to know you, understand what matters to you, and figure out together what would be most helpful. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I’ll be there to listen and support you, but I’ll also gently challenge you when it may help you grow or see something from a different perspective. My hope is that therapy feels like a genuine partnership where you can be yourself, explore what’s going on beneath the surface, and build practical tools that fit into your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be a chance for us to get to know each other. You can share what brought you to therapy, what has been feeling difficult, and what you hope might change. And if you’re not quite sure what your goals are yet, that’s completely okay and we can figure them out together. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can talk openly at your own pace. From there, we’ll work together to better understand what you’re experiencing, recognize your strengths, and take realistic steps toward the changes that matter to you.
