Great to meet you!

My name is Sloane Dolezal. I am a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s challenges and helping them achieve emotional well-being. I was drawn to a career in therapy because of my own personal experiences with trauma and loss. After experiencing a traumatic loss, I struggled to cope for years and eventually turned to therapy for support. That journey not only helped me heal but also showed me the profound impact that compassionate, professional guidance can have on someone's life. Seeing the resilience and growth in others inspires me every day, and I feel honored to walk alongside my clients on their healing journeys. What drives me in this work is the opportunity to provide others with the same kind of support that helped me through my most difficult times. I understand firsthand how overwhelming life’s challenges can be, and I am truly honored to have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact—whether by helping someone gain clarity, build confidence, heal from past wounds, or develop healthier coping strategies. Knowing that I can provide a safe space where people feel seen and empowered fuels my dedication to this profession.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, active listening, creating a safe space where you can feel heard and understood, and rooted in evidence-based techniques. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and work collaboratively with you to explore your experiences, identify goals, and develop strategies for growth and healing. I provide therapy for individuals across various life stages, from teenagers to older adults, tailoring my approach to meet their specific needs. My practice focuses on treating a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, relationship issues, trauma/PTSD, life transitions, low self-esteem, confidence, personal growth, end of life issues and more. I also work with individuals experiencing conditions such as PTSD, OCD, ADHD, mood disorders and many more. In our work together, I utilize modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care to help you explore your thoughts and emotions in a productive way. My goal is to meet you where you are and provide the tools and support that best align with your individual needs. I am here to walk alongside you, providing guidance and support as you navigate life’s challenges. After taking the time to understand their history and current challenges, we work together to identify areas for growth and change. I encourage clients to set goals that feel achievable and empowering, breaking them down into manageable steps. Throughout therapy, I provide support, accountability, and flexibility, adjusting goals as needed to align with their progress and evolving needs.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space during their first session with me. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. My approach is collaborative, meeting clients where they are and empowering them to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace. Working with me feels like having a trusted ally—someone who listens with empathy, offers insight without pressure, and provides tools to help navigate challenges. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and openness, ensuring that clients feel comfortable being their authentic selves. My priority is to get to know them and their unique experiences, so the session will focus on building rapport and understanding their history, concerns, and goals for therapy. I typically begin by discussing what brought them to therapy and exploring their background, including past experiences, relationships, and any challenges they’re facing. We’ll also talk about what they hope to gain from therapy, and I’ll answer any questions they have about the process. Clients don’t need to worry about saying the “right” thing—this is a space for them to share at their own pace. My goal is to make them feel comfortable and supported as we start their journey toward healing and growth.
