I am a clinical psychologist licensed in NY and NJ with over 20 years of counseling experience. I specialize in working with individuals and couples who struggle with lack of intimacy, communication difficulties as well as anxiety, depression and personality disorders. I am well versed in multiples modalities including acceptance and commitment therapy as well as schema therapy, emotionally-focused therapy and CBT.

During the sessions, I draw on schema therapy and other modalities to help clients in identifying their schemas and modes. Schemas are the underlying patterns of relating, thinking and feeling that clients developed as they adapted to their early environment. Modes refer to the coping skills which clients engage in when their schemas get triggered. Clients will be guided through experiential exercises whose goal to heal old wounds and develop a healthier connection to themselves and others.
