Great to meet you!

Hello, I am Smitha, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner committed to providing compassionate, personalized mental health care. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stress, trauma, and other emotional challenges. My approach is collaborative and supportive, combining medication management with therapy-informed care, education, and practical coping strategies tailored to each individual’s needs. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable, heard, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward healing and long-term wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe each person’s experiences, challenges, and goals are unique, so I work closely with clients to create treatment plans that fit their specific needs and lifestyle. I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive therapy, education, and practical coping strategies to help clients better understand their mental health and build long-term resilience. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable, supported, and empowered throughout their healing journey.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a supportive and judgment-free conversation focused on getting to know them as a whole person. We will discuss current concerns, symptoms, personal history, goals for treatment, and any previous experiences with mental health care. I also take time to answer questions, review treatment options, and collaboratively develop a plan that feels comfortable and personalized to each client’s needs. My goal is for clients to leave the session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about their path forward.
