Welcome! My name is Sofia De Jesus, and I graduated from Florida International University with my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and the owner of Shine on Mental Health Counseling. My experience includes helping individuals with anxiety, depression, maternal mental health, relationship issues, low self-esteem, gender identity and orientation.

I love helping individuals overcome life's challenges, learn new skills, and holding space for them to feel vulnerable, transparent, heard, and supported. Each treatment is individualized to best address your needs. I take an integrative approach, using interventions from modalities such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, person-centered therapy, and family systems therapy.

I'm a firm believer in navigating our present through self-awareness, reflection, intention, healing, love, and mindfulness. My goal is to help walk you through life's challenges, process how you're feeling, and gain insight into your relational and behavioral patterns in order to develop the necessary skills to improve your quality of life, relationships, and self-esteem.
