Great to meet you!

I am a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care across the lifespan. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, and I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered in their mental health journey.

My background in healthcare is multidisciplinary and holistic. In addition to my psychiatric training, I hold a master’s degree in nutrition, which allows me to better understand the important connection between physical health, nutrition, lifestyle, and mental well-being. I believe mental health care is most effective when we look at the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptoms.

Before specializing in psychiatry, I practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner in primary care, neurology, and gastroenterology.

These experiences gave me a strong foundation in understanding the complex relationship between the brain, body, and mental health. Many brain and digestive conditions can affect mood and behavior. My background in these areas helps me look at the whole picture when caring for patients.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, personalized, and evidence-based. I work closely with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapeutic strategies.

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and psychotic disorders. I have experience supporting children and teens through developmental and emotional challenges, helping adults manage life stressors and mental health conditions, and caring for older adults with more complex medical and psychiatric needs.

When working with children and adolescents, I also value partnering with families to ensure the best possible support for the child. I believe that strong therapeutic relationships are the foundation of effective care, and I strive to make sure each patient feels respected, comfortable, and actively involved in their treatment.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, my goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you to care. We will discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle factors, and any goals you may have for treatment.

Patients often describe my style as warm, attentive, and thoughtful. I focus on creating a welcoming space where you can speak openly without judgment. Together, we will begin to explore possible treatment options and develop a plan that feels appropriate and comfortable for you.

Whether you are seeking care for yourself or a loved one, my goal is to help you achieve improved mental health, greater resilience, and overall well-being.
