Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Sohaib (he/him), a South Asian, Ace-Aro, and Muslim Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I believe that therapy should feel like a warm campfire—a safe, inviting space where you have the autonomy to explore your goals without the weight of judgment. As an immigrant, I’m deeply aware of the stigma that can often surround mental health care, and my passion lies in breaking those barriers. Whether you are navigating loneliness, grief, or the complexities of your identity, my goal is to provide an empathic environment where you can connect with both your past and present selves while rediscovering your inherent resilience.

My approach to therapy

My approach is entirely client-centered, meaning I meet you exactly where you are in your healing process. I work with individuals aged 10 to 65, specializing in everything from self-esteem and social skills to LGBTQIA+ affirming care and managing chronic health challenges. Our work together is a true collaboration; I integrate evidence-based treatments like CBT and DBT with creative, soul-nourishing interventions like art and writing-focused therapy, play therapy, and somatic breathing. By tailoring these tools to your unique lived experience, we can address the many obligations that impact your relationships, career, and even your ability to simply breathe.

What you can expect from me

In our initial sessions, our priority is to cultivate a secure therapeutic bond. We will develop a reflective treatment plan that acts as a roadmap for your specific needs, whether you are managing a mood disorder, navigating substance use, or exploring gender identity. In a world where it is so common to feel unmotivated or "lost," I use strength-focused interventions to help you shift your perspective and build a more authentic, confident version of yourself. I am here to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s changes and transitions.

If you are ready to start this collaborative journey or have any questions about how we might work together, please feel free to reach out. You can connect with me via email, phone, or through my website to schedule a consultation. I look forward to meeting you!
