Great to meet you!

My name is S. Aliscia Heard, M.Ed., LPC-S, and the heart behind Rise Counseling LLC. I’ve been honored to walk alongside children, teens, adults, and families on their healing journeys since 2010. I specialize in trauma and use approaches like EMDR, Brainspotting, Play Therapy techniques, and Trauma-Focused CBT to create a safe, supportive space for growth. I truly believe in the power of connection, and I’m here to help you feel seen, heard, and empowered.

My approach to therapy

I take a person-centered, flexible approach, meaning I meet you where you are and tailor each session to fit your unique needs and goals. My style is warm, collaborative, and supportive-you're the expert on your life, and I'm here to walk with you through it. While I draw from a variety of techniques, my work is deeply rooted in trauma-informed care, helping you feel safe, understood, and empowered as you heal and grow.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, supported, and valued. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build healthy coping skills, and feel more empowered in your life. Whether we're working through trauma, stress, or life transitions, I aim to create a calming environment where healing and growth can truly happen-at your own pace, in your own way.
