Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who has spent more than five years working directly with clients across private practices, clinics, and school-based settings. While I’m newly licensed in Texas, I bring substantial hands-on clinical experience supporting men through depression, anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, and addiction.

My approach is collaborative, direct, and practical. I believe therapy should give you more than insight—it should give you tools you can actually use in everyday life. I work primarily with men who want to better understand themselves, change unhelpful patterns, and develop a clearer and more intentional way of living.

My approach to therapy

My approach is built primarily around a combination of Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Logotherapy. I also draw from a wide range of therapeutic theories, practices, and techniques, incorporating whatever is most useful for understanding and treating the individual client.

I focus first on helping clients understand the psychological principles behind their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and personal experiences. From there, we work toward the practical application of three core skills: mindfulness, externalization, and behavior chain analysis.

These skills provide a framework for observing what is happening internally, understanding the patterns that influence behavior, and creating opportunities to respond differently. My goal is to make therapy understandable and practical, with techniques that can be learned, practiced, and applied repeatedly in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect to begin exploring your personal narrative—the story you have developed about yourself, your experiences, and the world around you, and how that narrative came to be.

We will also begin developing a basic understanding of the three core skills that guide my approach: mindfulness, externalization, and behavior chain analysis. I will explain what these skills are, why they are useful, and how we will use them throughout treatment.

The goal of the first session is to begin creating a framework for understanding your experiences while giving you a clear sense of how we will approach therapy together. You should leave with a better understanding of your own story, an introduction to the tools we will use, and a clearer picture of what the therapeutic process will look like.
