Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Sommer, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Georgia since 2018. I provide individual therapy for adults navigating emotional, behavioral, and life-transition challenges. My professional background includes work in community mental health and outpatient settings, where I’ve supported clients with trauma histories, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, and family-related stressors.

My approach to therapy

I view therapy as a collaborative and individualized process. My style is warm and supportive, direct when needed, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I work to meet clients where they are emotionally and developmentally, while also gently challenging patterns that may be contributing to distress or feeling “stuck.”

I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed interventions, skills-based approaches, and strengths-focused techniques. I prioritize emotional regulation, coping skills, insight development, and practical tools clients can apply outside of sessions.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a space for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust. I focus on creating a calm, laid back, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing at their own pace. We will discuss what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from treatment.

You can expect the session to feel conversational and supportive, with an emphasis on understanding your experiences rather than rushing into “fixing” anything. My priority is helping you feel heard, respected, and supported as we begin the therapeutic process together.
