Sommer Phillips

My name is Sommer Phillips, and I am a licensed professional counselor. I have been practicing for 4 years and have worked with various populations including people experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, and trauma. I am passionate about optimizing mental health and creating space for others so that they can live their best lives. I primarily see adolescents and adults who are struggling with mood disorders, grief, and interpersonal issues.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the keys to unlocking new ways of being, so I focus on getting to know you at an individual level. I will be a guide in your therapeutic journey and will always seek to understand you as best as I can. I also believe that people's environments and circumstances impact them greatly, so I work from a holistic perspective to understand you as the complex individual that you are.

I always start with an introductory session so that you can share your story with me. I strive to create a warm environment that makes you feel comfortable. We will work together to figure out what goals you would like to set for yourself, and I will assist you in implementing strategies to create the changes you desire.
