Great to meet you!

I work with many Latino, first-generation, and BIPOC individuals exploring identity, cultural belonging, intergenerational trauma, family dynamics, relationship concerns, mental health stigma, and academic or career burnout. I am committed to providing a supportive, culturally-affirming space for people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.

My approach to therapy

My approach is strengths-based and trauma-informed. I help you reconnect with yourself and cultivating more fulfilling relationships with others. We may explore patterns within your family of origin and across generations that continue to shape your emotional experiences and relationships today. Viewing these patterns within a broader context can deepen compassion, for ourselves and for those who came before us, while helping you intentionally choose how you want to show up in the present and what you hope to carry forward.

What you can expect from me

Many of my clients were raised in homes where expressing feelings or questioning expectations was met with shame. Because of this, starting therapy can sometimes bring those early messages to the surface. As someone who has walked a similar path, I want to reassure you that my intention is to create a space where you don’t have to perform, overexplain yourself, or always be the strong one.

In our first session, we’ll focus on building rapport and exploring what has brought you to therapy. You may notice that I listen more than I talk. My goal is to help you settle into the space and feel that this time is truly dedicated to you. I approach the experiences you bring into therapy with care, curiosity, and compassion.
