Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Sonia and I’ve been working in mental health for the past 15 years altogether. I am licensed in California and Ohio and work with clients living with anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma and insomnia. I believe my clients hold the answers and I am privileged to accompany them in their journey to unlock them, I focus on your strengths to help you overcome your challenges. My mantra is “the sun is always shingling even if I don’t see it.” I want you to live your best life not just exist.

My approach to therapy

I am eclectic in my approach to therapy using client-centered therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. I am trained in CPT [Cognitive Processing Therapy] for trauma and CBT-i [Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia].

What you can expect from me

On our first session I will explain the limits of confidentiality and expectations for therapy. It will be our chance to get to know each other a bit and decide if we are a good match,
