Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Sonia (she/her). I'm glad you are here. I know that reaching out for support takes courage. I believe you are the expert of your own experience, and my role is to walk alongside you navigate your journey of healing and growth. I strive to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where your voice is heard and your experiences are honored. In this space, you can feel supported as you explore your thoughts and feelings, build resilience, and reconnect with a sense of safety, self-trust, and hope.

I take a generalist approach, which means I can work with many types of challenges. Whatever is bring you here, we can work through it together. While my practice is broad and inclusive in scope, I bring specialized experience in treating addiction and related issues, having worked in a residential treatment setting for over three years. That experience continues to inform my work with clients facing deep personal challenges, and has strengthened my belief in our capacity for growth, healing, and resilience.

My approach to therapy

I primarily draw from existential and humanistic traditions, which centers authenticity, presence, meaning-making, and the human condition. From that foundation, I use tools from a variety of philosophies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, depth psychology, and Eastern philosophy. My approach is trauma-informed and collaborative, ensuring each session is responsive to your specific needs and boundaries.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you. It’s about discovering what is possible when you're met with unconditional presence, care, and curiosity. With warmth, honesty, and a touch of humor, I’ll gently encourage you to explore new ways of thinking, relating, and being in the world. Together, we’ll unpack your story, figure out what’s working (and what’s not), and help you move toward a life of meaning.
