Great to meet you!

I’m Sonia Sears, Founder and CEO of Soul Vision Wellness and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 17 years of post-graduate experience. Throughout my career, I’ve supported children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, and challenges related to maintaining their overall mental health and well-being.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy, meeting each client where they are and working together to identify meaningful and achievable goals. I view therapy as a partnership, creating a space where clients can feel safe, supported, and empowered to explore their experiences while developing tools to navigate life’s challenges. My areas of focus include anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, and supporting individuals who are working to maintain their mental health and overall well-being. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Behavioral Therapy, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs, experiences, and goals.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I want to begin understanding not only what brings you to therapy, but also what you hope will be different in your life as a result of our work together. We’ll explore how you imagine your life might change if the presenting concern were no longer getting in the way, including how your relationships with others and with yourself might look and feel different. This conversation helps us identify meaningful goals and begin creating a path toward the changes you want to experience. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can be honest about where you are while also exploring where you would like to be.
